【New Store Information】Soft opening in February 2026 on Thong Lo Road
The owner chef, who started an izakaya in Bangkok 15 years ago in his early twenties, has finally opened a new shop “Kura Bar & Grill” on the main road of Thong Lo.
His newly presented concept, which has attracted many Thai customers so far, focuses on “authentic yakitori” and “carefully crafted oden.” You can enjoy the proud flavors accumulated over 15 years of career in a more spacious and new setting.
The allure lies in the affordable prices of a casual izakaya, even in a prime location like Thong Lo.
Prices start from 35 Baht per dish. In addition to authentic yakitori centered around charcoal grilling, traditional home-cooked oden, as well as spaghetti and hamburgers popular among young people in Thailand and Japan, are also abundantly available on the evolving izakaya menu.
Currently, a special promotion is being held to commemorate the soft opening.
How about adding this new candidate for your favorite spot in Bangkok’s night scene for a drink after work or dinner with friends?

REVIEW

I went there immediately during the pre-opening sale!
The location is just before Soi 1 off Thong Lo Road, a bit past Nikko Hotel. Apparently, it used to be a bicycle shop.
That day, they were offering all yakitori for 35 Baht, along with a wine sale.
I enjoyed yakitori and highball & lemon sour at the counter seating on the first floor. The staff can speak Japanese, so there’s no worry about language barriers.
It feels like a Japanese yakitori shop.
Promotions will be sent to members on LINE.
It seems that more oden and izakaya menu items, as well as pasta and other Western-style menus will be added in the future, so it has definitely secured a place in my rotation for regular use.
